Partner selection
Compliance and cost-savings are of course major aspects of Software Asset Management. However, good partner selection is also paramount. Several Licensing Solution Partners are active, all with different strengths and weaknesses. Each Licensing Solution Partner also has its own agreements with the software manufacturers, which in turn results in differing prices.
Q-Advise helps you to select the right Licensing Solution Partner (LSP) for your organization. We of course do this independently, and only take into account those factors that are relevant to your organization.
The LSP is given authorization by Microsoft as a partner to deal in Enterprise Agreement, Enterprise Subscription Agreements & Microsoft Product and Services Agreement (MPSA) licensing deals. The payment depends on the type of contract the LSP close with the end user. After closing the deal Microsoft pays the LSP a commission fee.
The commission for the LSP ranges between 1-20% depending on the contract type, size of the deal, and the products.
On the Microsoft partner finder there is no dedicated section to filter to find an LSP. For some reason Microsoft does not know its list of LSPs. Q-Advise knows all the LSPs and can help you to select the right LSP for your business.
As a Microsoft Enterprise Agreement customer, you can move seamlessly from one license partner to another. And contrary to what some may tell you, there’s no such thing as a bad time to move your contract, especially if you’re not happy with your current LSP. We are known for helping customers change Channel Partner (COCP) on their Enterprise Agreements, from which we have established a standardized 90-day transition plan.
If your agreements soon have to be extended or renewed, then contact us to support you with your LSP selection!
